The Cobalt Blues Band The group formed in 1984. The Cobalt Blues Band is one of Philadelphia's best kept secrets. Playing their own pumped up version of Chicago and Delta Blues. They perform original tunes as well as classics. Their funky and very danceable sound has made them popular with music lovers everywhere and of every age. For four years Cobalt appeared in the South Street area at places like Zackery's, J C Dobbs, Bachannal and others. The band plays an innovative style mixing blues, jazz, rock and funk. The group has opened for The Nighthawks, Sonny Rhodes and Johnny Copeland. This is a group whose time has arrived. |
